WOODCUT SHOWROOM
BESPOKE COUNTER

Melbourne, Australia

Working closely with the interior designers, Random Spaces helped develop this bespoke counter for the Woodcut showroom.

Originally conceived in solid timber, the scale and weight of the piece presented practical challenges. We recommended re-engineering the counter in rolled aluminium, allowing the original design intent to be maintained while significantly reducing the overall weight.

The distinctive surface pattern, created by the designers, was brought to life by using CNC laser to engrave the pattern into the aluminium before the completed piece was powder coated in black.

The result is a sculptural centrepiece that combines the appearance and texture envisioned by the designers with a practical, lightweight fabricated structure.
